The Rotaract Club of NTU is organising an overseas community service project to Sapa, Vietnam. It is a project where we'll touch on conservation issues and improving environmental awareness. We will be going to a workcamp in Ta Phin Village for 2 weeks in June 09, and we'd be participating in tree planting projects, help harvest crops and to assist the villagers in improving their langauge and communication skills. Chocolate Affairs

What recently was happening towards Valentine’s Day was Chocolate Affairs @Valenwine, an event collaborated by Professional Development from Rotaract and NTU Wine Society. Throughout two days (12 & 13^th February), crowds came into Nanyang Auditorium for wine tasting and chocolates. The Guest of Honour, Prof Lok Tat Seng even came down to appreciate wine and visit the chocolate booths.

Some of the chocolate booths that took part were from:

Wicked Chocs. Chocolates were sold together with cool gadgets. There’s also a provocative display of the exclusive Kamasutra collection by Wicked Chocs in the middle of the booths.

The booth by ADM Cocoa gave a detailed description of how chocolate and cocoa products are derived, starting from cocoa fruit. On the table were some components from cocoa, namely, cocoa butter, chocolate liquor and cocoa powder in different shades.

Liquor chocolates were available for sale at discounted price!!

The Business and Finance Division had even take this opportunity to sell chocolates and specially made animal bouquets.

And what better way to appreciate wine and chocolates than accompanied with good music…

Some of the programmes held include a blind wine tasting challenge, where contestants were quizzed for the type of wine tasted. Besides that, we had performance by Little Island Voices to lighten up the atmosphere, chocolate tasting and some couple games.

Towards the end of the event was the lucky draw session. Visitors were required to answer a small quiz about chocolates and here are some of our lucky winners:
The whole event turned out to be a success with crowds still lingering around at the end of the day. Three cheers to our Professional Development and Business & Finance Divisions!!

To be held on 12 and 13 February 2009, Chocolate Affairs @ ValenWine 2009 aims to appreciate the heritage and uniqueness of chocolate while celebrating Valentine's Day with all NTU communities.

House Of Friendship

Club Service has done it again! Right after the smashing Installation Night, here comes the House of Friendship, jointly organized by the Rotaract Club of NTU and Rotaract Club of Marina City. Joining us for the fun, were some members from Rotaract Club of Queenstown. Picasso from RAC Marina City came up to us and suggested that both our clubs should do something, and there you have it, a joint gathering, an ideal get-together activity. The event started off with some icebreaking game, getting to know each other’s name and getting along together. After the icebreaking games, that’s where the real deal begins.

Next is the dividing of rotaractors into 3 teams. After getting to know their respective teams, it was time for the next game : Treasure hunt! The team leaders went on to explain the rules and regulations of the games to their respective teams. After getting a clear picture of the game, it was time to kick start the game!

The first station out of the six stations was the S4 building. Upon reaching the first station, the team was informed of their first task by the team leader, who also happen to be the station master for the team. The team will need to come up with a dance or song to impress their station master and also perform it for 2 minutes. The station master will rate them according to their level of impression.The second station was Popular, in the S4 building as well. The second task was to look for a sticker star and point it to the station master. But it was no ordinary task. All the team members were supposed to walk alone into a dark lane at the side of Popular and look for a tiny star by just using the light from their mobile phones.

Located on rooftop of the N2 building, the third station involved the game known as the Human Entanglement. Everyone was required to stand in a circle and hold the hands of the person opposite them. Then, they were supposed to entangle themselves in the fastest time possible. Next up was the fourth station which was the area around the fountain in front of Tan Chin Tuan LT. The task was passing of message, which consisted of 10 pau names. But one will be disappointed if he was expecting common names like ‘char siew pau’ etc etc. The organizer actually came up with distinct and unique names like Big Big Pau etc etc. Everyone was rather confused by the names that at the end of it, they only managed to get one name right.

The fifth station was in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The team was required to choose a leader for the fifth task. This leader’s task was to rearrange the team members according to the category given by the station master. After the task, they headed over to the School of Biological Sciences for the final station. The task for this station was Charade, and the theme was ‘Movie’. Upon completing the task, the team headed back to SAC, where the winners of the treasure hunt were announced. To everyone’s delight, every team was given a prize. As the prizes consists of snacks and junk food, everyone decided to sit down and enjoy the snacks. This was the only time when everyone get to bond with one another in a proper manner where they get to share stories of their life and laugh over jokes cracked by one another , besides reminiscing the ups and downs that they have gone through together, both as a Rotaractor and as a team. After the bonding session, it was time for the final game of the night, which is the Superman game. The 3 losers of the game were required to sing songs as decided by the majority.

As cliché as it may sound, all good things much come to an end. The event that night ended with a birthday song specially dedicated to our dear Whei Yeap whose birthday happened to fall on the same day.All in all, this event achieved success in fostering friendship among rotaractors of different divisions and at the same time, between RAC NTU and RAC Marina City. Everyone had a great time and it was a great chance to take their minds off finals and CAs as well. Last but not least, two thumbs up to Club Service Division for bringing together such a memorable event!

Hairstyling Workshop

The first workshop of the year by the Professional Development was the Hairstyling Workshop, held in Hall 1 Dance Room. The workshop is conducted by 3 professional lady hairstylists from Hip Salon. At first, there was a brief talk on hair care, especially on revealing bad practices that may damage hair and ways to prevent them.

Next up is the demonstration of hairstyling for both guys and girls. Some of the participants were lucky enough to get their hair cut, styled and transformed into cool, fashionable ones free of charge! Along the hairstyling sessions, the ladies shared the techniques used and useful tips. There is also a queue whereby the condition of scalp was examined and comments were given on how to take good care of it. The session was very informative and insightful.

After watching the demonstration, it is the turn of the participants themselves for a hands-on practical. Equipped with hair wax, hair dryer, curling iron, combs and scissors, everyone had a great time styling their friends’ hair and get their hair groomed. At the end of the workshop, everyone gathered for a photography session and received a flyer on hair care. Overall, this workshop was a success in having fellow Rotaractors to develop their personal grooming skills.

Joint Installation of RAC NTU and RAC Tanglin

12th September 2008 marks another memorable event for both RAC NTU and RAC Tanglin as it was the Joint Installation Night for both RACs. The theme was Masquerade Night, thus every guest came to Students Activity Centre with masks of different sorts, some plain while others pretty fancy. Attending the Installation Night were also the Guest of Honours, Rotarians Joerg, Fabio and Cheong besides Rotaractors from RACs in Singapore. Hosting the events for the night were the lovely Su Yun and Ivan. As they introduced themselves, shortly after were toasting sessions for the Guest of Honours, incoming Presidents, the NTU RAC Main Commers and the invited Guests from other RACs. This is followed by a roll call introducing each RACs from all over Singapore. Everyone then went on to feast on the sumptuous dinner.
As everyone converged, Le Ler, the NTU RAC outgoing president gave an inspiring speech as well as expressed her appreciation towards all her board of directors. She installed Jacky Lim with a medal symbolizing the responsibilities and duties to be upheld as the incoming president. In Jacky’s speech as President, he thanked his board of directors for the trust they placed in him. This is then followed by the installation of the Incoming Board of Directors who includes Suk Kwan, You Quan, Sonia, Aaron, Jojo, Soon Leong, Beng Beng, Jing Jing, Yin Mun, Whei Yeap, Carmen and Li Jun. Rotarian Joerg then gladly installs Yancy Ong as the Incoming President of RAC Tanglin. In her speech, Yancy wants to focus on building a strong foundation this year for the revival of RAC Tanglin. Soon, she installed her Incoming Board of Directors who include Kai Yong, Jia Hong, Yeow Koon and Chang Yuan.
Next, it was the turn for the Guests of Honour to deliver their speeches. Both Rotarians Joerg and Fabio gave insightful speeches. Following the speeches from the Guests of Honour is a mask designing game. Everyone is divided to their own groups: every portfolio from RAC NTU, invited guests and RAC NTU Main Commers. Using glitter paint plus marker pens, they are given 5 minutes to decorate and name their masks before presenting their masterpiece to the judges. By the way, the judges are none other than our Guests of Honour. Each group were outstanding creativity and presentation wise, but then the mask from Youth Development was unanimously chosen as its concept was simple and the message behind it is very meaningful: staying focused.
Before the night ends, a lucky draw session was held. There were six prizes to be won, amongst them are cosmetics, a mystery gift and even a bottle of wine sponsored by one of the Guests of Honour. As the Installation Night concludes, photography sessions took place among the guests (most of them with their masks on!). Overall, everyone had a great time. To all the newly installed presidents and board of directors, all the best to a new journey ahead of you!!

Subcomm Appreciation Night

After a long and fruitful year, it was the time for us to show our gratitude to the subcommittee members who’ve worked hard enough to aid their respective directors in various events and activities. Their efforts were truly remarkable and they have shown a great deal of team spirit in bringing about a successful year for the Rotaract Club. The Subcomm Appreciation Night was yet another inspiring event carried out by the Club Service Committee. Aside from showing acknowledgement to the subcommittee members, this event also plays a role in motivating them to do better in the subsequent years.

The night started off with the 2 emcees introducing themselves, Whei Yeap and Si Hui were the voices for the night. As it was already near 8pm when the event commenced, they decided to initiate the night by allowing everyone to fill their appetite before heading for a night filled with significance and enjoyment. In the midst of dinner, a long slideshow of the club’s activity for year 07/08 were exhibited to the members. It was indeed the best side dishes we could ever have. Having our sumptuous dinner with the slideshow, fond memories of us in the club were flowing across our minds like a calm river; we sat and reminisce about the good old days. Some of the photos made everyone goes, “Awww….” , and some triggered boisterous laughter from everyone. How nostalgic.

Following up the dinner was the first lucky draw event. It was such a privilege that we have Rotaractor Kumar to draw out the 1^st lucky member to receive the prize. And it went to Lee Sin Wei from the Club Service Division. Next up, we had the Rotaract Members Induction led by none other than our President, Lee Le Ler. All the members made their pledge to the club with Le Ler in precedence. Coming up next was the time for another lucky member to be chosen. Yup. The second Lucky draw was up, and this time, the prize went to Shu Yi from the Publicity and Publication Division.

After the Award Giving Ceremony, the official events for the night came to an end but it was not the last of the night for most of our members. Everyone took this opportunity to snap some shots with their friends as it is very rare for everyone to be gathered like this once again. And to hype up the atmosphere, Jacky (P and P director) got hold of the microphone and gave a free voice performance by singing every random song that was played there while some members were helping up cleaning up the place. The best moral support you can get I’d say. With the place spick and span, it was the end of the day for everyone. And for the Club Service Division, it was yet another excellent feat before the end the year 07/08. Three cheers for them.

Garang Guni

The yearly tradition of the Rotaract Club of NTU, the Garang Guni, was once again carried out today. Just like every other year, the aim of this event is to collect used but reusable items to raise fund for the charity. Items that were collected includes old newspaper, second hand electronic devices, worn-out clothes, you name it.

An approximate figure of 80 enthusiastic members from the Rotaract Club of Nanyang Technological University took part in this event. At as early as 8am, members including the main committee and sub committee were seen approaching from different directions to Canteen A before taking off to the destination. As the saying goes, the early bird gets the worms, those who were punctual get their chance to take their breakfast while waiting for the other members to breeze in. When all the members are in place, we took a bus to the destination, which lies in Jurong West, Boon Lay. We reached there at about 8.45am and then we were separated into groups, in which each group is in charge of different blocks. After all, the smaller the number, the easier they are to handle.

We started our event at about 9 where we went from lots to lots of different flats to collect old items, for instance, old newspaper, clothes, old electrical appliances etc. We had quite an unsatisfying start, as the response wasn't so pleasurable since it was still quite early. 9am on a Saturday morning is like the crack of the dawn, as weekends are times everyone use to rest and recuperate from the hustle and bustle of weekdays life. Later on when it was about 11, the response was more pleasant. We were able to collect quite an amount of old items before this Garang Guni event came to an end.

"Hello Ma'am, I'm not any suspicious looking person, please listen to what I have to say before slamming the door on my nose. . ."
Just like the train, our event started off at a slow pace, with nothing much gained at the beginning.
"Further on the day, woah, even such a brand new looking standing fan? Can I have it for my room please?"
"Loading the stuffs into the lorry is one hell of a task, let's take a break shall we? And while we're at it, you can snap our cool looking faces. . ."
"If only this mountain of papers is cash. . ."

The event reached its finishing line at about 2pm in the afternoon. All the members headed back to Nanyang Technogical University after the event. The event has collected roughly about SG$600 which is to be donated to charity. It was a day of hard labour but also filled with fun, with interactions among members like never before as it was a rare occasion that members gathering in such a number to work together. Normally it would be just the same ol' people from your committee and eventually you'll get bored seeing the same faces around. Today, it really exposed all the members to each other. Thus, the Garang Guni will stay as an undying tradition of the Rotaract Club of NTU as it is not only beneficial to the public, but also a good mean of promoting teamwork among the members of different committee.

From the moment we stepped down on grounds of Phuket Airport, we had sensed heavy responsibilities in front of us. Our exciting journey was just beginning…..

We were quite surprised when the students stood outside their school, welcoming us, as if we were their guests.

However, it was be the opposite way for the next day. We became their teachers, welcoming them to a world of knowledge and education.

As the school involves students from Primary 1 to Secondary 2, the participants were categorized into 4 groups. Primary 1 & 2 will be in 1 class taken care of by 1^st group.

In one of the classes, we started the ball rolling by revising with them their ABCs.

On the farewell night, Students from NTU wore traditional costumes and sang a few songs comprising of Mandarin, Malay and English.

Although the students could not understand our language, they were still deeply amused by our performance.

The night ended off with big lanterns flying towards the beautiful sky and sparkling fireworks exploding in the sky.

We left the school with hugs and kisses from our students.

On the very last day of the trip, we headed towards many Tsunamis Memorial Sites.

One of the places that we went to is the Tsunamis Victim Cemetery. There were still hundreds of bodies not claimed but are buried in cement capsule to prevent rotting and future reclamations.

This memorial site is called “The Devil”.

This boat has killed hundreds of people during the Tsunamis. They did not want to remove this boat so as to remind everyone the disaster impact of Tsunamis.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who make this trip possible for students from Nanyang Technological University.

Once again, we hope to work with you again for more enriching trips to spread the love and concern to those who need it more than us

Weekly tuitions for the children

Once again, the Rotaract Club of NTU has come up with a bright idea to provide a helping hand to those in need. This time, the Rotaract Club of NTU has decided to bring into focus the welfare of children in Singapore. The organization in which we’re working together with is the Fei Yue Community Services Student Care Centre. Briefly, let’s see what organization is the Rotaract Club collaborating with this time.

First off, the main organization, Fei Yue Community Services itself has its own mission to effect life transformation through the provision of quality social services. Fei Yue Student Care Centre, another centre under the Fei Yue Community Services is a centre which provides before-and-after school care services for primary school children (7-12 years) with no alternative childcare arrangements at home. Their core services include:

1. Daily supervision and coaching of school work
2. Fun and educational activities: computer,
craftwork, story-telling and others
3. Balanced and nutritious meals

Aside from that, the centre also provides other programmes and activities that not only aim for the academic achievement in the children, but also to shape them into honorable and admirable individuals in for the future. These, for instances are:

1. Character Building Workshop

2. Read and Learn Programme

3. Natural Science Clinic

4. Computer Class

5. Festive Art & Craft

Fei Yue Student Care Centre operates daily from 7am to 7pm and the fees per student are $250 per month. However, for the less able families, MCDS subsidy is available to families with income below $2500 per month.

Well, that’s more or less for the introduction of Fei Yue Community Services. As for the Rotaract Club of NTU, the Youth Development Committee has assign teams consisting of two persons each to provide assistance to the children in Fei Yue. These teams are of none other than our own undergraduate students in NTU and their role in this activity is to help out the students in Fei Yue, who are mainly in Primary One to Primary Six.

Last Saturday, on the 6^th of October 2007 was the first day of this activity. The Rotaract Club of NTU will be sending out people to Fei Yue Student Care Centre every Saturday and Wednesday to tutor the children over there. The tutors that went last Saturday was Yong Choon Seang and Wen Yan, from the Youth Development Sub-Committee.

Upon reaching the centre, we were greeted by Ms Eunice, who was the teacher in charge that day. Aside from her, there is also another teacher in charge who was not in last Saturday, Mr Nelson Ng. Anyway, Ms Eunice showed us the way in and showed us the kids that were there. The children there were brilliant looking and cute, not to mention active just like any other children who seek fun more than anything else in everything they do. Once we were there, Ms Eunice assigned one student to each of our tutors and Choon Seang and Wen Yan. Aside from that, Ms Eunice also gave us a short introduction regarding Fei Yue Student Care Centre. It was more or less like what’s stated above, except that she said about 20% of the students over there now are from low income family and they’re subsidized by MCDS.

Back to our tutors and the students. Choon Seang and Wen Yan each teach their respective students different subjects, depending of whichever is their weak subject. Choon Seang did some English and Mathematics with his student, while Wen Yan focused more on reading skills and grammar notation with hers. Well, they’re not the only one having all the fun over there, we, from the Publicity Sub Committee also spent some time playing games with the students there. After roughly about 2 hours, it was time for our leave and we bid the children goodbye for the day. Ms Eunice sent us off.

It was indeed a very good way to provide help to the children in need academically where at the same time, we, too learn how to communicate and project our knowledge and make someone understands us. This activity will go on regularly every Wednesday and Saturday.

Installation Night

Today, the Rotaract Club of NTU held their Installation Night. The Installation Night serves two purposes, to express gratitude towards the outgoing management committee who did a marvelous job in completing a successful year of contribution to the society, and also to officially install the incoming management committee who will be upholding the responsibilities to bring the Rotaract Club another glorious and august year of successes.

Topping off the events of the night was the arrival of guests at approximately 6.45pm. Some of the guests include Mr. Harris, the President of Rotary Club of Tanglin, Rotarian Joerg, Rotarian Fabio, and not forgetting some fellow rotaractors from NUS. After registering at the registration booth set up, the fellow sub committees usher the guests to their respective seats. It was not long after all our guests arrived and our members all seated that our Guest of Honour DRC PP John Ng stepped in. The Installation Night began with the toasting among those presents.

Next up was the rollcall. The guests were introduced to everyone present. When the rollcall was over, it was just the perfect time for our upcoming event, the ever sumptuous dinner. The guests and the members of our club were given a chance to interact with each other over a plate of finger licking good dinner served to them by the Club Service subcommittee members who worked hand in glove with each other to ensure the all the guests are served and contented. Coming up next was something more interactive and fun, the game organized by our emcees.

After the game was the outgoing president’s speech. Ong Yancy, the outgoing president of the club expressed her gratitude to everyone that has worked together with her guiding her and showing her the right path in bringing the Rotaract Club of NTU a fruitful year. Aside from that, she also wishes the Incoming President, Lee Le Ler all the best in her upcoming endeavors in the club. Following up Yancy’s inspiring speech was a speech by the Incoming President, Lee Le Ler herself. She started off her speech by expressing her heartfelt gratitude to the previous Board of Committee for giving her the chance to uphold the responsibility of bringing the club more successes and glory. She also thanks the committee members who will walk the path ahead together with her.

Following up was the speech by the President of the Rotary Club of Tanglin, Mr Harris and the speech by our Guest of Honour, DRC PP John Ng. Both of them congratulate the Rotaract Club of NTU in their achievements and successes. They also wished the new Board of Committee their bests and wished that they’ll do equally good or not better than the previous board. After the motivating speeches, it was time for yet another fun activity, the thrilling and exciting Lucky Draw event. It was the final event for the day, leaving some participants happier than the others because of the prizes they won from the lucky draw. Nonetheless, the others’ weren’t disappointed at all, in fact, they too had had a memorable and pleasant evening that’ll stay on in the memories of everyone.

Despite how fun it had been, everything has to come to an end. The night ended with some informal photo-taking sessions among the participants themselves. It was indeed the night to mark the end of journey for some and the beginning of a new ride for others.

The carnival was fun-filled to the brim, with games, food, clothes, bags and accessories on sale, attention-grabbing performances throughout the day, and interesting characters from cosplay parading in their eye-catching costumes. Not forgetting the theme of the carnival – Abstinence, otherwise safe and responsible sex, in which Durex has kindly helped to sponsor the event and even had a cute mascot giving away brochures and sample contraceptives.

Various performances included rock bands such as Caffeine and Cre8, Superstar idol finalist Derrick Hoh, United Artiste Network Performances which included beatboxing and hip hop dance, the finale segment Muchuan, and so on...

In all it was a smashing carnival, with the high-spirited crowd and hardworking rotaractors who worked very hard to make this a success. Kudos to all!

Get ready for some HOT action right here in town!! The Rotaract Club of NTU presents, RENDEZVOUS: Be SEXtremely Responsible, the MOST exciting event that could possibly take place in February!!

Expect a fun-filled day at our carnival, no less! For starters, there will be FOOD, FOOD, and more FOOD!! That’s not all! There will be games and prizes to be won too! Furthermore, entertaining performances run all day!! Hip hop fanatics, dance enthusiasts, and jam-band lovers, this is one stop NOT to be missed, for we have a whole day’s program lined up for you! Fancy some latest music hits? Sure, we’ll be blasting town with YOUR favourite songs! Anime lovers, we have something in store for you too! The NTU Anime Club will be holding their cosplay at our carnival, so you can come and take pictures with your favourite anime characters!! Derrick from Project Superstar will also be there to perform some of his songs for us!! Fans, catch your idol in HOT ACTION!! The programme will conclude with a grand finale performance by 木船 (Arc Music Cafe), whose singers are composers for renowned artistes!!

Interaction Day

Several rotaractors visited the Bukit Batok Home on Interaction Day. Well, most of the day was basically spent chit-chatting and making origami with the elders, helping in the kitchen to prepare food, arranging for performances to entertain them and interacting with the children. The crux of the entire trip was the performance and sandwich-making segment, courtesy of the children. After performing for the elders, the children proceeded to making sandwiches and presenting it to them. From the look on the elders faces, it was a truly heart-warming scene.

Although tired, but from the look on everyones' faces, it was well-worth it. Looking back at the children and elderly smiling and joyful faces, it makes one feel really spirited to be able to bring happiness to both parties. A win-win situation. 3 cheers. =)

Vsit to the Organic Farms

The rotaractors and 27 children from the Woodlands Care Corner visited two organic farms, namely the Hay Dairies’ Goat Farm, and the Green Circle Eco Farm.

Hay Dairies is the only goat farm in Singapore. It is a small goat farm with 1000 goats of mixed breed, producing milk for sale. It incorporates the latest milking, pasteurizing, homogenizing and bottling techniques, and also serves as a niche market in Singapore - providing an alternative to cow milk. Most of the goats at Hay Dairies are alpine goats from America (Minnesota).

The Green Circle Eco Farm is an ecogarden - an organic farm made up of many plants and animals. No artificial pesticides and fertilizers are used in the organic farm.

It was an overall refreshing and enriching trip, with the extra knowledge gained along the way, and of course, also from the interacting with the children.

Some of the many facts learnt from this trip:

- Sugar comes from the sap of sugarcane.
- Cold mint vegetables are good for treating cough.
- Fruit vegetables are developed from flowers. Examples include cucumbers, brinjals and lady fingers.

Garang Guni 2005

The annual Grang Guni Event on 3rd dec 2005, started off and ended with a bang. The NTU rotaractors gathered at around 8-9am at Admiralty MRT Station to await briefing instructions from the group leaders. The atmosphere was evident: Excitement. Everyone was raring to go. And indeed, we toiled and moved around the woodlands estate, going from door to door of every designated building to request for old newspapers/clothings/electrical appliances. Due to the unexpected overwhelming donations/goods we recieved from the generous Woodlands residents, the entire event lasted way past the original end timing of 5pm. Although everyone was tired and exhausted at the end of it, it was a fruitful day indeed. 3 cheers to the Business and Finance department, for this well-planned and smooth-going event. =)

Project Bridge 2005

Project Bridge provides programmes and activities for Early School Leavers of ages 13 to 19 years, to help them discover and develop their talents and potential. It started in 1999, jointly put together by YMCA, National Youth Council, and North West CDC.

Our Youth Development committee spends about 2 hours a session weekly to help the youths improve in their school work and prepare them for examinations. These mentoring sessions promotes interaction and forging of bonds with new friends.

Shiseido Talk

The Business and Finance Committee of NTU Rotaract Club arranged a talk held at Lecture Theatre 27 on 2o September (Tuesday), 7.30pm. The speaker was a lady from Shiseido, a well-known company producing and marketing cosmetics and facial products. They also carry out researches in their laboratories to improve on their products.

The talk began by introducing us to the different skin-types that people commonly have, and what kind of products we should look for when we shop, so as not to make inappropriate purchases. We were also taught how we should go about caring for our faces, both guys and girls. Along the way, little stories were told about hypothetical situations which were quite funny and drew giggles from the crowd. The talk ended with the distribution of souvenirs – a trial pack of facial scrub and lotion.

Annual General Meeting 2005

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a kick-start to a brand new beginning for Rotaract Club.

Rotaractors started streaming in from 6.30pm. The lecture theatre was soon filled with excited chatters. The eager anticipation on everyone’s face was evident. We were seated according to our departments. Introductions and new friends were made very quickly.

The 20th committee individual departments put up a mini presentation, consisting of a PowerPoint slide. The director then basically touched on the events that were organized, lessons learnt from it, and gave suggestions for the incoming 21st committee on what they can improve on for future events.

thank you for all your help for the past year. Really hope you all have enjoyed urself in all the activities. School has just reopened, hope you will take care of ur health and chiong ah.... 13 more weeks and its holiday once again :)
